Shining Star Tarot is here as an exploration into intuition and owning your light within. Yours. And mine. I believe we all have intuitive gifts within, waiting for us to trust them (ahem, ourselves) to guide us along this crazy life journey that we are on as humans. Shining Star Tarot was born as a way to help me unleash my own intuitive gifts by using the symbolism found in tarot and oracle cards to better hear what my intuition tells me.
Turns out that was just the beginning…
I’ve found that one of my favorite ways of using my intuition is to help provide both intuitive and practical guidance to those around me, whether that’s through tarot, channeling, or even astrology and human design. I want to help you tap into the person you are within. I want to help you learn to trust yourself so you can make your own decisions. There’s a star within you that shines so bright that I want to help you bring awareness to your own light. So you can take back your power and make a life on your terms.

Now… A little about the person behind the scenes.
The name is Kaelyn.
Pronounced KAY-lynn. She/her.
I’ve been exploring my intuition for the last five years, and tarot is what opened that door for me. From there, I worked with a wonderful intuitive coach to help me to understand the transformation that was happening within me. In that process, I starting living with more intention with my intuition guiding the way as I got used to its quiet messages. Tarot always seems to be one way that messages become the most clear for me, and it always seems to confirm exactly what I already know. I use the tarot as a means of personal connection, intuitive development, and listening to the voice within that has been kept in the dark for far too long.
In exploring my intuitive gifts, I’ve been offering different kinds of readings to help people sort through their feelings or to understand their next best steps or even discover who they naturally are–through tarot, channeled messages from angels and spirit guides, human design, and a dash of astrology.
This is why Shining Star Tarot exists… To light a beacon to returning to yourself. To help you find your own shining star within so you can embrace it and have it guide you. While I love to help deliver practical and intuitive guidance, my ultimate goal is to provide content and readings that redirect you back to yourself as your ultimate source of wisdom.

According to Human Design, I’m a 6/2 splenic projector with the Left Angle Cross of the Clarion. At its simplest, this means I’m meant to help guide people–those who recognize my gifts and invite me in–by trusting and using my intuition that comes in the moment to offer practical solutions. This site says it right here:
“You carry the energy that makes you wise and intuitive. This is energy that others want and over time will seek you out for. You have knowledge and information that will help guide them. Similar to the Sooth Sayer, you can provide practical solutions to the problems of the day. As you grow older, you will find yourself driven to live out your life guided by your intuitive gift.”

And for those of you familiar with astrology: I’m a Libra sun, Sagittarius rising, and Scorpio moon with my north node in Pisces, which is all about pointing my life toward feelings and intuition.
This also means I need to constantly work on trusting my intuition as it comes through me and that’s a journey in itself since I grew up in a place that did not help me cultivate trust in myself and made me a perpetual people pleaser (presently in recovery). For me, personally, a lot of that clarity comes through writing. That’s why I’m here! Both for practice and hoping that my own journey might offer some insight and inspiration into your own process of un-layering all the parts of you that wish to be known so you can be the you-est you possible. Also, for readings, if you feel called to get one from me!
To further align myself with my north node in Pisces, it felt important that Shining Star Tarot & Sentinel (the blog) come forth as a space to further explore all the intuitive and esoteric sciences that help direct us to our natural selves.
Not only that, but I have a probing desire to explore anything esoteric that might help illuminate what’s true for me, the collective, and how we can all work together by embracing our brilliant individual lights within. I’m an absolute sucker for learning, so I’m constantly schooling myself in something. The Shining Star Sentinel will likely touch on a gamut of things that I’m learning about, like intuition, tarot, human design, numerology, symbology, astrology, possibly aliens, and anything else that happens to poke its head up like an eager white rabbit that I have to follow.
Also, be warned… I’m an impossible fan of Harry Potter, Alice in Wonderland, and basically anything magical, so I believe there are layers to everything for us to uncover and explore that make up the magic of being a spirit in a human body. You may run into these magical references, movie quotes, or musical lyrics from time to time. I may even have it in me to possibly create meditative music or guided meditations down the road… I’m excited to explore what Shining Star Tarot grows into!
Please note that this may not be the most consistent of spaces, but it will all be divinely guided and inspired. I won’t create content just to create content, but it will be aimed to inspire and enlighten as you and I go.
